Why do you want to be a school board member?
I wish to be a board member because I have an interest in the Fowlerville Schools day to day operation because I have 4 kids in the district.
What does education justice mean to you? What does it mean specifically in the context of your school district?
Education Justice means to me that every student should have the right to receive an education with quality teachers and the resources they need to complete their education.
If you could completely reimagine the way schools look after this public health crisis, what would they look like?
I would hope that after time goes by the schools would get back to normal, but would be more prepared if a similar pandemic happens again in the future .
Describe how you think parents, students, and families should be involved in making decisions within your school district?
All parents and students should be involved by encouraging them to attend board meetings to listen and provide input to better the district.

What are your top 3 educational priorities/goals within your school district?
To provide financial stability to the schools.
Provide adequate security of the students while at school.
Ensure every student has the tools needed to succeed.
What are your top 3 educational priorities/goals at a state level?
Provide the needed grants and funding for the schools in the district.
What challenges do you anticipate this school year to COVID and what do you think your school district must do to keep students & staff safe?
To keep the students safe the students need to continue to use social distancing. The school staff needs to continue sanitize and disinfect the classrooms on a daily basis.
What should be your school district’s top spending priorities in their budget? Alternatively, what should not be prioritized your district’s budget?
To make sure all students have the proper technology needed and qualified teachers to complete the job.
What role do you think standardized tests should play in your school district?
The standardized tests should show the areas that students need to improve in and to make sure the district has qualified teachers and the correct curriculum to provide assistance in those areas.
If you could have an impact on your school district’s curriculum, what changes would you make? What, if anything, would you keep the same?
I believe there should be more classes for everyday life for example shop class. Also I would hope at some point Fowlerville would offer their own career center on site for students in the near future.
What responsibility do you believe your school district has in supporting students’ and staffs’ mental and emotional health/wellbeing?
I believe that the school district should make available several different support groups for kids to be involved in as well as school counselors to be provided on site.
How do you think your school district should handle student discipline/and make schools a safe place for students and staff?
I believe that every student who gets disciplined should have to attend a hearing with their parents before their eligible to return to school.
What are your top priorities around special education in your district?
I believe that it is important to provide the needed qualified teachers to assist with the special education needs of the district.
What is your perspective on working towards achieving equity within your school district?
I believe that all students should be treated equally.
